Irene is a senior from Ithaca, NY majoring in Biological Sciences. Outside of CURJ, she conducts research in Dr. Cerione's lab on the role of overexpressed signaling proteins in maintaining malignant properties and survival of breast cancer cells. Irene also volunteers at Cayuga Medical Center, plays violin in the Cornell Symphony Orchestra, and is a TA for biochemistry. In her free time, she loves to bake, go hiking, and hang out with her friends.

Isaac Chang is a senior studying Nutritional Sciences in CALS. On campus, he conducts research on antibiotic resistance in the Hay Lab, is a Wet Lab Co-Lead of Cornell iGEM, and teaches piano to undergraduates. In his spare time he enjoys brewing kombucha, playing basketball, and cooking in the kitchen.

Julianne is a sophomore from Queens, New York studying Engineering Physics with research interests in optics, quantum materials, and condensed matter. Outside of CURJ, Julianne conducts research in the Disa Lab, is a Hardware Co-Lead of the Quantum Computing Association, and spins lights with CU ProYos.

Josh is a senior in the College of Engineering majoring in Computer Science and Operations Research. Josh has conducted research in scheduling exams and constructing better decision trees, with Professors Shmoys and Gunluk. On campus, Josh has TA'd a variety of classes, served as president of the Sports Analytics Club, and is Treasurer of Tau Beta Pi. Outside of academics, he enjoys playing poker, intramural basketball, and running.

Nikita is a sophomore from Ashburn, Virginia, majoring in Industrial and Labor Relations and minoring in History. Outside of CURJ, she works as an undergraduate research assistant at Cornell Law's Legal Information Institute, competes on the Cornell Speech Team, and is on the editorial team for Collective X magazine. In her free time, she loves painting, creative writing, and watching the sunset on the Slope.

He is interested in research in various topics of biology from neurobiology to ecology & evolutionary biology. Leo is part of Snodwiggs and lives in Eco House. He enjoys watching shows, spending time outdoors, dancing with friends, and learning about the fascinating world of insects.

Shannon Lee is a sophomore from Westchester, NY majoring in English and minoring in Business and Media Studies. Outside of CURJ, she writes for the news department of the Daily Sun, copy edits for CUER, and is a part of Forté, a women’s professional development organization. In her free time she loves to go on walks outside, creative and narrative writing, and baking.

Amanda is a first-year from Hopkinton, Massachusetts majoring in Economics and minoring in Law and Society. Her research interests span the social sciences, although she is particularly interested in examining human interaction and the evolving nature and implications of interpersonal relationships in the contemporary technological landscape. In her free time, she enjoys reading, crocheting, and watching sitcoms.

Tyler is a junior from Princeton, NJ majoring in Chemistry. He worked at J-STAR Research, a contract research organization for 3 years in the area of pharmaceutical chemistry and drug degradation. Now, he is a researcher in Dr. Smolka's lab, where he is leveraging his knowledge about kinase signaling to find drug combinational therapies for cancer. Outside of school, he enjoys folding origami, plays/teaches piano, and volunteers at Cayuga Medical Center.

Alice is a junior from Scarsdale, New York studying Biological Sciences with a concentration in Neurobiology and Behavior. Aside from CURJ, she is on the E-board for the Brain Exercise Initiative, is an editor for the Cornell Healthcare Review, and works as an undergraduate research assistant in the Smith Laboratory of Neurobiology of Learning and Memory. Outside of academics, she loves to bake, explore the latest movies on Netflix, and explore Ithaca.

Remi is a class of '28 Computer Science major from Fairfax, Virginia. Outside of CURJ, she is a member of the Cornell Data Journal, a science writer for the Cornell Daily Sun, a WVBR radio DJ, a member of the editorial board of Marginalia, and a member of the Cornell Filipino Association and the Vietnamese Student Association. In her free time, she loves baking, reading and writing poetry, and playing tennis or going on a run.

Aden Geonhee Lee is a first-year from Exeter, New Hampshire majoring in Human Biology, Health, and Society in the College of Human Ecology. He does research on amino acid starvation in cancer pathways in Dr. Qian's lab, and also has published multiple first-author papers in the International Journal of Molecular Sciences. Outside of research, Aden does creative writing (poetry, prose) and enjoys fencing in his free time.

Nancy Zheng is a junior from San Jose, CA studying Computer Science and Business in CAS. Aside from CURJ, she is the Business and Management Team Lead of Cornell Engineering World Health and studies classical piano with Professor Xak Bjerken. In her free time, Nancy enjoys exploring the outdoors, solving puzzles, and trying new eateries with friends.

Bora is a senior at the College of Arts and Sciences, majoring in psychology with minors in fine arts and game design. Beyond CURJ, Bora serves as an RA at Krosch Lab, as a facilitator and a student assistant at Cornell Language Resource Center, and is involved in the Cornell Translator Interpreter Program (TIP) and PC and game development projects. In her free time, she enjoys digital drawing, translating her favorite game, and listening to musical numbers.

Apart from CURJ, Jaden is also a member of Ezra's Archives, the Cornell Wind Symphony, Big Red Ambassadors, and the Cornell Historical Society. In his free time, Jaden enjoys spending time with friends and family, playing basketball, and composing orchestral works.

Aria is from Howard County, MD majoring in Biological Sciences. He joined the Helmann lab in August 2024 and is currently assisting in quantifying the expression of the Penicillin-Binding-Protein-4 (PBP4) involved in antimicrobial resistance within Bacillus Subtilis. Outside of CURJ, Aria is part of Cornell Taekwondo Club and the project team Cornell University Biomedical Device (CUBMD). In his free time, Aria enjoys reading books and watching his favorite shows.

Nigel Tatem is a freshman from Dallas-Fort Worth, TX, majoring in Computer Science with a focus on Data Science and Machine Learning. His passion for computer science stems from its versatility in contributing to research across various fields like healthcare and business. Outside of CURJ, Nigel is actively involved in the Cornell Cybersecurity Club, serves on the E-Board for Underrepresented Minorities in Computing, and is a member of NSBE. In his spare time, he enjoys editing, designing, creating content, and developing his own video games. Nigel is also an avid music fan, particularly of artists like Joji, Daniel Caesar, and Rex Orange County.
